My we have grown!!

I thought it would be fun to compare the kids on the first and last day of school. They do look like they have grown up a bit. I can't believe how fast this school year has flown! The boys will be home in about 30 minutes and I can't wait for our summer to begin! The other night G said, "I can't wait until schools out, it will be like the olden days when we are all home together." It will be like the "Olden Days" and I can't wait!!

It's on to 1st

Goose thought it was pretty cool that he got his diploma before his dad! It was funny the other day Goose was asking Jeremy what he did at school. Monte said,"Do you do a lot of math?" Jeremy said, "No, I basically read the entire day." Monte then said," Well do you get time to color!" It was pretty funny!!

Power Point Presentation

For Monte's kindergarten graduation the class did a power point presentation. The kids chose their topics, did their own research, drew their picture and found their own facts. Monte chose sharks as his topic. It was very entertaining to watch!

The first and the last

This is Monte's drawing on the first day of school and then he drew the second picture a few days ago. I love seeing all the differences!

Kids and Teachers

Goose and G loved their teachers this year. Besides all the homework I did too. I was amazed at all their hard work and the love they had for the children. Both teachers were amazing and put together a scrapbook for everyone in their class of the entire year. G's teacher was so caring and would always give the children a compliment and a hug when they were getting on the bus to go home. We were fortunate to have such great teachers!

Party Time!

Last week was really busy and full of fun! From pizza parties to field day there was never a dull moment.

Belly Flops and Goggles

G and Goose had fun playing catch in the pool. Bean enjoyed playing motorboat motorboat with me.

Toothpaste and Hair Gel Attack!

So last night at bedtime Goose was upset because G was threatening to put toothpaste on him while he slept. I told Goose that I would make sure that G didn't do that. Well every night before I go to bed I make the rounds to the bedrooms and give all the kids one more kiss. Tonight was no different I tiptoed into the boys room; and stood on the bottom bunk to reach G. To my surprise I put my hand in a sticky mess. I quickly turned on the light and found this........

How G didn't wake up before I went in I don't know.
G had to have a shower at 12:30 a.m. toothpaste was all over the back of his head and behind his ears.
It was funny after his shower he asked, "Is it morning?" I said, "No." G then said, "Oh good I am really tired."
Goose even thought to put the gel and toothpaste all over G's ladder so that when he climbed down he would be slimed.
This toothpaste was brand new as of Friday. He used the entire thing, as well as about 1 cup of hair gel.

While this was all going on Goose was sawing logs and looking so very innocent!

Flower Pots

Today Goose celebrated his birthday at school. He requested flower pots with worms and centipedes. Eliza thank you for the flower on the spoon idea, the kids LOVED them!

Lilly with her Lilies

Thank you Eliza for the Lilies they are my favorite flower! I put them on my night stand in my bedroom.

Robin came to visit!

This morning I opened my front door to take the kids to the bus and I almost stepped on this robin that came right inside my door. Thankfully I didn't.

Don't forget to floss!

G came home from school with this set of pearlies. He reminded me that we need to make sure we floss every day.

5K Run

Today was the Susan G. Komen Race For The Cure. It was one of the best experiences I have had. It was amazing to see all the breast cancer survivor's who ran in pink. I ran in memory of Sharon Simms. Sharon was my OBGYN and delivered Grant 7 1/2 years ago. I have never had a doctor quite like Sharon. She was never in a hurry at my doctor's appointments and would always just sit and talk for the longest time. As her patient I felt like I was her #1 priority. I will never forget the night I had Grant she came in my room with a bag of the Cool Ranch Dorito's; we sat on my bed admiring my new little baby Grant and ate almost an entire bag of chips. She was a wonderful person and a doctor who cared. Sharon Simms passed away of breast cancer a few months ago. She had been fighting the disease for several years. She was courageous and always had a smile on her face. It was a honor to run in memory of Sharon and all those who's lives have been taken from cancer.

Opening Day at the Pool!!!!

Today was the opening day at the community pool. The kids have been waiting for this day for about a month. I can't wait to spend summer days here!

Undecided Autograph

Lillian can't decide how she wants to sign her name. Right now she really likes to add this flower at the end of her Y. I try to get her to write Lillian, but she hates writing a's.

FRIDAY THE 13th and the Green Pepper

We spent our Friday the 13th in the emergency room. We were at some friends house having a BBQ when all of a sudden Jeremy started gagging. I wasn't too alarmed since this is a normal occurrence in the Richard's home. However, he could not stop dry heaving and unfortunately this time he just couldn't get whatever was stuck out. So we went to the ER and they did a scope and got it out. What you see is a piece of green pepper. I am just happy that the green pepper didn't block off his airway! Next week he has to go back in and they are going to stretch his esophagus. OUCH!!! Apparently it is like a funnel and gets small in a few spots.

Monte's Wild West Party

It is hard to believe that Goose turned 6 today!!! Monte is a teddy bear and brings so much laughter and happiness into our home. Monte can be found chasing butterflies, catching bugs, painting a picture or pretending he is a cowboy. Monte's smile brightens all my days. Happy Birthday Goose we love you a bushel and a peck!

Goose with his boot cake

Finger Painting and Mustaches

What's a Cowboy without his mustache?
Monte's party wouldn't be complete without some type of art project, so we finger painted cowboy vests.

"There's A SNAKE In My Boot!"

The funnest part of the party was the games. We played there's a snake in my boot, horse races and of course Cowboys and Indians.

Niagara River

Today we hiked down to the Niagara River on the Canadian side. It was one of the most beautiful hikes our family has ever been on.

Bean picking all the purple flowers

Searching for feathers....

By the end of the night Goose had 3 feathers stuck into his water pack.

PYRO'S

We brought stuff to roast marshmallow's, but the "boys" were definitely more interested in the fire.

SNAKE!

Here Jeremy is trying to catch a snake that escaped into the water.

Eternal Flames AGAIN!

We just can't get enough of this place! This time we brought the kids swimsuits so they could splash around a bit. There isn't a ton of water, so it is perfect!

Waiting.........

So I talked to my adoption social worker and he suggested handing out adoption pass a long cards. These cards would include our first names and then our adoption website where you can read more about us. I need your help so if you are willing to take some cards and hand them out, Jeremy and I would REALLY appreciate it. In the last couple days I have contacted my OBGYN in Utah as well as New York they were both very helpful and said they would love to pass the cards along to those that they know are placing their babies. I thought this was a great place to have cards since they see so many moms to be. My goal is to have cards to at least 10 OBGYN's. So anyways to make a long story short basically we are searching for our baby. You never know if the connection is going to be made through a card, word of mouth etc.... so if ANY of you reading are willing to help us get the word out via mouth, posting our adoption website on a blog, or pass along cards we would be grateful! Just drop me a line if you are willing to help us out. Again, thank you this means so much to Jeremy and I!

The Cowboy

Goose loves to read/look at this Cowboy book that his Great Grandpa gave him. His favorite place to read is outside sitting on this grate.
