Lillian's Baptism Interview

For several weeks now Lilly has been asking when she gets to be interviewed by the Bishop for her upcoming baptism. Today was the big day and she was so excited! This afternoon I had Lilly tell me all about her interview and here is what she said. "I went into the Bishop's office and sat in a chair. The Bishop gave me back my book that he wrote his testimony in. He asked me if Joseph Smith was a Prophet and I said, "yes." He asked me if Joseph Smith saw Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ in the Sacred Grove and I said, "yes." The Bishop then asked me if I knew that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ were real and I said, "yes." He asked me if I knew that Thomas S. Monson was the Prophet and what does he do? I told the Bishop that, "Heavenly Father tells him what to do and then the Prophet tells us what to do." He asked me what the law of chastity is. I told him to be modest. The Bishop said, "That's exactly right." Then the Bishop asked, "What is the Word of Wisdom?" I said, "to not smoke, drink alcohol, or take drugs and to not drink tea or coffee." Then the Bishop asked me if I had any questions and I said that I didn't. Then the Bishop told me that he plans on coming to my baptism next Friday. I felt the spirit and I was happy when I talked to the Bishop."

HaPpY VaLenTine's Day!

I love Valentines Day and any Holiday for that matter. I feel very blessed and love my husband and children so very much.
Happy Valentines Day!

Thank you for the flowers Jeremy, they're beautiful! He is always so thoughtful!
We had candlelight pizza and I gave Jeremy a Crush soda and told him I had a Crush on him. The kids all smiled.

Bean always feels so special when her daddy brings her flowers. We are pretty lucky to have such an amazing husband and father.

For dinner we had pizza with heart shaped pepperoni.
Happy Valentines!!

4th Grade Valentine Class Party

Chief and I love visiting the kids in their classrooms! Today for the party we played games, did a craft and had a yummy chocolate fountain.
I was impressed with Monte's Valentine box. He came up with the idea completely by himself.
For the fourth grade Valentine Party we had a chocolate fountain. It was a hit! The kids loved dipping strawberries, bananas, oranges, pretzels and marshmallows.

Valentine Breakfast

For Breakfast we had: Heart Shaped Waffles with Raspberry Syrup and Strawberry Milk.
I love writing the kids little love notes!
The kids reading their love note.

This is so strange, but it won't let me rotate the picture. Anyways, Monte gave this Valentine to all the kids in his fourth grade class. I "mustache" you a question: Will you be my Valentine?

Bean's Birthday Party

So I am a little behind in posting this, even though it still is not Lilly's "Real" Birthday. However, we had Lilly's birthday  party a few weeks back. Mainly because I didn't want her friend birthday party to overshadow her baptism and we have family coming into town. So yes, it was basically a month in advance. Tacky? Yes. I don't think Jeremy will ever let me live it down. :) We had a great time. We did a craft, ate pizza, danced, laughed, talked, ate too much cake and watched a movie. Jeremy and the boys I think went out for Chinese! They missed out on a lot of fun!! :)
Lilly loves crafts, so she was excited to paint wooden beads for her fancy new bracelet.

These girls are crazy and so much fun!!!

Make a Wish!

Beans is blessed to be surrounded by such good girls!

The girls had a blast dancing to music with the disco ball!

Birthday Celebration at School

Today they celebrated Lilly's birthday at school. It was cute, before singing Happy Birthday the teacher invited the students to give Lilly compliments. It was fun to hear all they had to say.
We love our Bean so much, despite the fact that she insists on doing her own hair for school. :)

Baptism Preview

I can hardly believe that my little girl is almost old enough to be baptized! On Sunday evening we went to the church for the baptism preview. Lilly was so excited to go tonight. When we got home later that evening Lilly said, "Mom, you know how I kept rubbing my eyes tonight when the Bishop and Brother Boyle were speaking? Well it's because I had tears in my eyes and I felt the spirit. My heart was beeping just a little bit and then it started beeping faster and faster and I felt warm inside." It was neat becaue Lilly has been praying for the last little while to see whether or not she should get baptized. She was frustrated because she wasn't getting an answer. I am excited Heavenly Father answered Lilly's prayers tonight at the baptism preview. She now knows for herself that she should get baptized. She is very excited to get baptized on her 8th birthday.
(Lillian is fortunate to be surrounded by great kids! She has 8 kids in her Primary class, all of them will be getting baptized sometime this year.)

Star Student

On Friday, we went to the middle school for Grant's Star Student Presentation. He did a great job! We are very proud of him. Grant shared with the class his goals. He said  he plans to get really good grades so that he can get a scholarship to go to college and then get a good job. He has came a long way, he used to want to work at the dump. Not that anything is wrong with the dump, it just seems kind of smelly. We are proud of Grant, he's a good boy and a good friend. I loved watching him talk in front of all his peers with confidence and ease.  I also just found out that he's on the honor roll! Great job Grant!!! After his presentation that lasted about 25 minutes he shared chocolate chip cookies with the class.

The family was invited to watch Grant's presentation.

Winter Orchestra Concert

Not the best picture, but Goose had his orchestra concert on Tuesday night. I was so proud of him! He memorized all of his songs and did a great job!! I hope he chooses to keep playing the cello.

Chief looked very handsome at the concert.

Loves Instruments and the Vacuum

My little Chief loves to vacuum, he's going to make a great husband!

Chief "practicing" violin and Goose is on the cello.
