Turkey Trott!

Early this morning me along with 3 friends joined over 10,000 people and took part in the Turkey Trott. It was fun to run with buddies, there awesome! It was my first Turkey Trott and first 5 mile race. Now this is not just any race it happens to be the oldest continually running footrace in North America (even older than the Boston Marathon)! Runners come from all over the United States, Canada and even overseas to compete. It was seriously so much fun! I love all the people that stand on the sidelines and ring bells, honk horns and cheer you on, it is such a great feeling! Not only that, but it is hysterical to see all the people who dress up! This will definately be a Thanksgiving tradition while we are living here!

It was great to have Jeremy and the kids there to watch me cross the finish line! Thank You!

So Fun!!!

After we were done running it was fun to sit on the sidelines and watch the people come in. There were some great costumes! There was one guy dressed as a banana, wish I could have got his picture! This race was so much fun!!! Santa's Helpers!
This guys walked the entire time with his cane in one hand and the Flag in the other! I thought it was great!

Santa's Sleigh!

I thought at first this was a reindeer, but looking at it now I believe it is a Buffalo. Go figure!:0)

And last, but certainly not least the Village People!

Happy Thanksgiving!

My friend Gantrie spoiled us today with tons of delicious food! Thanks Ganch and Corey everything was delicious!! We are so thankful for wonderful family and friends!

At the end of our Thanksgiving Feast I noticed that G kept going in and out of the kitchen with a different slice of pie. This boy likes his pie!

Basketball Practice

He shoots......

He scores! Way to go Grant!

#23 is not getting past G, he is a little competive when it comes to sports!

For some strange reason Goose likes to shovel, we'll see how long this lasts!

Movie Night

The other night I let the kids have a movie night. About 20 minutes into the movie Goose fell off the couch and didn't wake up until the next morning.

Cocoa and Snow!

Warming up with some hot cocoa after all that fun playing in the snow.

I love how G thinks he needs to roll his snow ball under the trees, ducking from all the branches.

My cold little Goose.

Bean didn't seem to mind the cold.

The boys got this great idea that if they rolled the snowball down the hill it would pick enough snow up to make a big enough ball for the bottom of the snowman. The kids were so excited when they woke up this morning to snow! I love it too, all except for the wet mess that the kids bring in when they are done playing in it.

Toilet Duty

Bean is on toilet duty this week. Every time she cleans the toilets she goes through about a can of Comet!

Thanksgiving Crafts

Goose working so carefully.

Bean especially loved her turkey magnet.

Sweetest Goose

This is what I found on my pillow when I went to bed. I love my Goose so much, he is so sweet and loving!

Nobody's Looking

G cracks me up daily!

Blankets

Bean loves to read to her Cabbage Patch Kids in her tent. It is funny to see her do this, I totally remember building tents in our basement, so much fun!

Shelf Elves!

During the Christmas season my Grandma always had shelf elves sitting around her house. I have to say I was so excited when I saw these shelf elves!!!! I didn't realize there was a book and a whole tradition that went along with it. Anyways, Mom, Michele, Jodi, Heidi and John check it out through the link below. It will bring back a lot of memories!!!!!

Just a Few Thoughts....

"We knew before we were born that we were coming to the earth for bodies and experience and that we would have joys and sorrows, pain and comforts, ease and hardships, health and sickness, successes and disappointments, and we also knew that we would die. We accepted all these eventualities with a glad heart, eager to accept both the favorable and the unfavorable."
~President Spencer W. Kimball

"There is a tendency to think of change as the enemy. Many of us are suspect of change and will often fight and resist it before we have even discovered what the actual effects will be. When change is thought through carefully, it can produce the most rewarding and profound experiences in life." Marvin J. Ashton

Love these two quotes!

Visit from the Tooth Fairy

Goose insisted on pulling out his wiggly tooth. He lost his first tooth yesterday!

Goose was super excited when he found 76 cents under his pillow! He is saving for some baseball cards.

Concentration

While Bean puts her shoes on she concentrates very hard!

Retainer!

G has a crossbite so in order to correct that he had to get a retainer. The doctor told him there are 2 places that it should be: in his case and in his face. G got a kick out of that! I was shocked when the dentist told me his problem should be fixed in about 4 weeks! We will see. I am just hoping he doesn't throw it away or lose it!

Crashed!

I babysat my friends 3 little kids the other day so that they could go to Palmyra to the Temple. They dropped their kids off around 6:30 a.m. Of course Lillian was so excited that she woke up bright and early. They played hard and had lots of fun together! Needless to say when our friends went home, she crashed in the middle of the floor.

Almost a Sleepover

G, Goose and Bean had fun having a late night with their little friends. We love having them over to play!

Lucky!!

I got a phone call today from Lillian's dentist saying that her name was drawn out of a hat and she won a Webkin! She has always wanted one so she was pretty thrilled! As if that wasn't enough, Lillian received a letter today saying that she won a $25 gift card to Toys R Us for a coloring contest she entered! Needless to say Lilly is pretty excited!!!!

On our way home from voting today, Lillian said, "Mom how come we can't just vote for President Thomas S. Monson?" I had a good laugh!

Raggedy Ann, Spiderman and a missing Vampire

Out of the 6 pounds of candy this was Bean's favorite!
Bean wanted me to take her picture in front of the flowers that Aunt Brooke sent us. Thank you! We love them!

Getting ready to go and do a little bit of trick or treating! We had so much fun with Bean's costume this year!! My Spiderman and Vampire were cute, but come on Rag doll wins hands down!

Halloween has been fun, but it is kind of nice to have it over!! There has been so many parties and fun things, but it will be nice to have the next week to relax and stay at home!

It really was the perfect Halloween night. It was so nice not to be freezing cold!! The kids loved running through this spooky castle. Thanks Jan for dinner and inviting us to trick or treat in your neighborhood. The kids had so much fun!

Spiderman

Goose decided last minute to be Spiderman.

Bedtime Snack

So before bed G decided he needed a bedtime snack. I told him to go downstairs and grab something quick. (Thinking he would grab an apple or string cheese) Anyways, Jeremy and I couldn't help, but laugh when he came upstairs with this gigantic sandwich. I especially loved how thick he cut the bread!

Thank you for remembering our little Maxwell

Thank you to my mom, sisters, brother, sister in laws and friends who brought and sent flowers. They were all so beautiful! Thank you for remembering it means a lot!! Thanks Brooke, Kiz and Amber for putting balloons and plants on Maxwell's grave! I love you all!!!!!
