Chill and Grill in Palmyra,NY
Yesterday we stopped off in Palmyra at Chill and Grill for ice-cream. We all ordered HALF SIZE Kiddie cones and this is what they looked like! The kids thought they were in heaven! Grant decided that instead of Chill and Grill it should be called Huge Food. I agree!

Lilly ordered her favorite...cotton candy.

Can you imagine what a large looks like? It seriously is like 2 feet tall!

Muddy Strawberries
The other day I took the kids strawberry picking. We had a great time and some good laughs involving mud. Monte kept sneaking strawberries and eating them out of the field. They were delicious!

Lilly thought this strawberry looked exactly like the one on her shirt.

This was so funny! Lilly was carrying her strawberries and her flip flop got stuck in the mud. Lilly's strawberries went flying and she looked like she slid into home. We all had a good laugh!

The kids finally got out of school, it seems so strange that I was sending them in JUNE! There first day home we had a huge rainstorm and it was really dark outside. The kids thought it would be fun to light candles and play games. One of there favorite games is Life. I love rainy days and this one was perfect!

Beaver Island
The Pool is OPEN!
Come April the kids are asking me how much longer until the pool is open....it finally opened this week and we can't wait to spend our summer days here!

SUPERMAN MONTE!!!

The neighborhood pool opened the other day and despite the cold water the kids are in heaven!

Grant's first cannonball of the summer!

Happy Father's Day!!
Father's Day was spent grilling, eating, playing games, relaxing and eating some more. I loved how excited Jeremy got when he opened Grant's gift that he made at school. It was a rock that said, "Dad You Rock" written in paint. Jeremy was so excited to use it at work as a paper weight. At school Monte made a keychain that said Dad on it, Jeremy immediately put it on his keychain and is very proud of it! We love you Jeremy and think you are the greatest!

If you haven't tried grilled pizza you need to! Our favorite is tomato with fresh basil and mozzarella it was delicious and super easy!

Grilled asparagus is AMAZING and I'm not a fan of shish-ka-bobs, but Jeremy loves em.

The kids woke up early on Sunday morning and helped make crepes with berries and cream and sausage for Jeremy. Monte's favorite job was making the whipped cream.
Yes, Jeremy always likes to show off the food in his mouth.

Project Maxwell and Prayer Rocks
This past week they had a Stake Primary Activity. The activity was a success and the kids had a wonderful time! Part of the activity included a service project. The Primary children were able to tie 17 fleece infant blankets to donate to Project Maxwell! They turned out wonderfully and I am so grateful for all those helping hands!! My bedroom is filling up very quickly with lots and lots and lots of blankets. Thank you to everyone for your support. We plan on donating all the blankets on Maxwell's birthday.

Perfect weather, fishing and friends......
A little late.....
For Monte's birthday we had a Science Party. He invited a few of his buddies and we had fun doing experiments, eating pizza and playing. Thank You to Ethan, Kellen and Jack for coming! Goose loved all his fun presents!!!

Make a wish Goose. Yes, that is supposed to be a flask cake; for some reason they always look better on Family Fun!

This was called electric spoons. Using a plastic spoon (that has been rubbed with a wool sock) you hold the spoon over the mixture of salt and pepper and the pepper magically jumps to the spoon.

Ethan carefully pouring the vinegar into the rootbeer bottle. This is the easiest experiment and the kids love it, especially when you add red food coloring to your bottle.

Goose getting pretty excited, and then his tower fell.

G trying hard to make his toothpick tower the tallest....

Field Day
I remember field day when I was in elementary school. It was one of my favorite days of the year. I can still remember Tally beating me in the potato sack race. G and Goose enjoy it just as much as I did. Lilly and I had fun helping with the games and watching all the silly kids!
G's favorite game was Tug of War.

Gotta love the teachers, they really get into cheering for their classes.....

It was hilarious watching all the first graders dance!

Lilly Can Ride a Bike!!!!
Inspired by her friend Kira, Lilly decided she wanted to ride her bike on her own. Jeremy took off her training wheels a few days ago and practiced with her for about 30 minutes. After school today I worked with her and in no time she was off! We still need to work on stearing and braking. Lilly can't wait to ride with her friend Kira!!

Monte thought he was so big helping his little sister learn to ride.
