Every year the kids look forward to picking out their pumpkins. This year we just so happened to run into a farm that had the pumpkins for $1.50 a piece for any size!!! It was fun to watch the kids run through the patch to find their perfect pumpkin. Racing to find the perfect pumpkin.... The kids got a kick out of this Mater look a like.
My Kodak Easy Share Camera doesn't really give these photo's justice. Watkin's Glenn was absolutely gorgeous and one of the prettiest places that we have ever hiked. It had rained the night before so the colors were beautiful and vibrant. The larger falls were gushing with water, from the recent rain. The kids found stick bugs, mushrooms, slugs, snails and of course toads. This place was truly breathtaking! Can you see Goose on the top of the staircase? Fall colors are starting to show. Heading down the Gorge Trail.... Jeremy with the kids hiking along.... G getting ready to walk under the teeny waterfall. Goose kept taking off his hat and filling it up with water from the falls. I loved all the bridges everywhere! The entrance to the hike. G loved spotting all the waterfalls. Goose needed to stop and take a little rest on our hike. Goose exploring a rock wall. G and Goose checking out a live stick bug on Jeremy's jacket. They thought it was the coolest thing ever.
On Saturday we took off to one of our favorite spots Alleghany. We had a great time competing to see who could catch the most fish. Grant and I lost by one fish! However, G took home the prize for the biggest fish! G likes to kiss all the fish he catches before he throws them back in. Fall is here!!! Goose putting the worm on the fishing hook. Goose posing with #7 Waiting for a fish to bite.... Miss Lilly being silly.
Ever since Goose was tiny he has always been fascinated with his world and all the creepy, crawly and flying things that come with it. Bumble Bee's are his favorite, but Monarch's are also at the top of his list. G's bedtime snack used to consist of an apple. The apple has now been replaced with a bowl of banana peppers. Goose loves them too! Why is it that my kids always set their cup right on the edge of the counter? The other day we had a few extra kids, they were really good. My kids enjoyed having friends spend the night.
Today was Scout Day Camp. G was especially excited because Jeremy was able to go and spend the day with him and also teach all the boys how to fish. Here is one of the fish G caught. G came home smiling ear to ear, he absolutely loves anything that has to do with Scouting and his dad.
"The Crown Without The Conflict" Maxwell gave breath to two infant boys in Canada and Mexico by donating his heart and other organs. I am grateful that families are forever. I look forward with pure joy to the day when I can once again hold my baby in my arms and never have to say goodbye. We love you Maxwell!
