He must get those sweet moves from his Father....

Trimming the Tree

Every year the kids get a brand new ornament to hang on the tree. I love seeing the joy in their faces as they look at ornaments from years gone by. Grant was laughing so hard when he saw a Bob the Builder ornament that he received when he was three years old. He can't believe that he used to like him! I love all the stories that the ornaments tell.

I just love this picture of Goose!

Monte found the perfect spot for an ornament.

Cutting down the Christmas Tree

This year we went and cut down the family Christmas tree in Holland, New York. When Jeremy and I were first married we always used to go to the Uintah Mountains in Utah and cut down our tree. Sadly, once we had a few children we didn't keep up with our tradition. This year we decided to take the kids and restart our family tradition. We had such a wonderful time and even better it began to snow on us! The first snow fall of the season, and as you can see we weren't really prepared since we all had rain coats on! It was such a joy to watch the kids get excited over what tree they thought would be best. We look forward to cutting down our Chrismtas tree from here on out.

Brrr....

TIMBER!!!!

All the kids following Jeremy to shelter and some hot cocoa.

After we cut down the Christmas tree the kids hopped on the tractor for a little ride.

Love this Boy!

The other night I was going through Monte's backpack and found this written on a sheet. "I am thankful for my home, because if I didn't have a home I would be a real Hobo."

Pie Making, Art and Playing in Boxes

The night before Thanksgiving Lillian and I had fun making pies. I love having a girl to cook with! I tried a new recipe for pie crust that I found on Allrecipes.com. Surprisingly it was easy to work with and turned out! I did learn that it helps to chill your Crisco in the freezer before mixing with your flour. It worked! I remember my mom sprinkling cinnamon and sugar on the leftover pie dough and baking it. We tried it and it tasted as good as I remember it tasting.

Nothing like the good ole Libby's Pie recipe!

Lillian trying hard to be very careful.

The other day Lillian had a tank top under her sweater that she was wearing. She took off her sweater and was just in her tank top. She hurried and ran into the bathroom and got a towel and put it over her shoulders and said, "Oh good now I am modest."

Grant loved painting this in art class at school.

At seven Goose is still fascinated with boxes.

Who said Lilly doesn't have a sister?

So the other day I found the kids painting their nails, boys included! At least they remembered to put cardboard down.

He's trying hard to be so careful....

Cute pigs Grant!

Sick Day

So the other day Goose came down the stairs and said, "Mom, I think I came down with something. I guess I can't go to school today."

Frogs

Frogs can be blue and black.
Frogs, frogs, frogs.
Frogs can croak,
Frogs can hop.
Frogs are many colors.

Staring Contest

This was so funny to me!

Buffalo Bulls and Large Eyes

Goose came down the stairs the other day with this GIGANTIC eye balls taped to his eyes.

Thank You Upstate New York Transplant Services for the football tickets!!!
The other night we headed to the Buffalo Bulls football game. Despite the Bulls losing to Ohio we had a great time and the weather was perfect!

I don't think Grant realized that the Buffalo Bull Mascot was right behind him!

Bubbles, Scrambled Eggs and Notes

Monte still likes his bath with lots and lots of bubbles!

Everyday after school Goose likes to make himself some scrambled eggs. We seemed to be going through eggs so fast. Well I think I found the problem, Goose thinks he needs to make 7 at a time!!!

Monte decided to write a letter to his music teacher Mrs. Green after being a little too silly in music class. Apparently Goose likes to lead music.
