Bags are Packed

Last night Lillian helped me pack the babies bag. The c-section is scheduled a week from today, January 7th. We are getting very excited, and can't wait to meet him!!!!!

Fun in the Snow

The boys thought it would be a good idea to build a ramp to go off of.

Sweet Poncho and Loving the Snow!

Finally we got some REAL snow, I am really hoping that we get more! The kids have such a great time sledding in the backyard and it's perfect because they have this week off of school. Now they aren't bored! Bring on the snow!!!

This picture reminds me 101 Dalmations when the little puppies are walking in the snow.

Goose making a snow angel.

These three are such good little buddies. After sledding in the backyard they decided they needed to have some hot cocoa to warm them up and then played Which Came First?

Goose decided that he wanted to be on Team Mexico so of course he gets to wear the sweet poncho.

Nerf Wars are serious business in our home. Jeremy gets really into it and I had to laugh when I saw Jeremy sporting this poncho that his grandfather gave to him. He told me that he was wearing it because he was team Mexico.

Thanks Grandma for the Christmas dress and matching dress for my doll!

Merry Christmas!!

So Christmas morning began early this year and I mean EARLY 4 A.M. to be exact!! When I heard the children giggling in the hallway and not an ounce of light outside I reminded them that they needed to get back in their beds. I then rolled over to find the bed empty and Jeremy was dressed and waiting to go!!! He is just as bad as the kids!! :)
Goose couldn't be happier. He has been wanting the Diary of a Wimpy Kid Write it Yourself for some time. I love the look on his little face!!

This book is totally up our little jokster's alley!

Lillian was excited that Santa brought her a few Strawberrry Shortcake things. I am hoping that her accessories don't get vacummed up. They are so tiny!!

This is what 4 A.M. looks like, TIRED!!!

My three boys trying to figure out Grant's Laser Tag Gun. By the way these are awesome!!!

The boys are really into Nerf guns!!

Three of my favorite things!

Goose loves collecting baseball and football cards. I think Jeremy was equally excited to see these in Monte's stocking.

Grant reading the thank you note from Santa. Apparently Santa got some milk out of the refrigerator because we failed to leave him some with the brownies.

Ever year Santa hides this dill pickle in our Christmas tree. On Christmas morning whoever finds the pickle in the tree gets to open up the first gift. This is the fourth year in a row that Goose has found the pickle. I think he must have a trained eye since he loves finding objects in the eye spy books!

This is basically a "death" casserole; otherwise known as Charleston's French Toast with Hot Cinnamon Syrup. The recipe has 16 eggs, cream cheese, butter, syrup and some other delicious things. It is for sure only a once a year recipe. Especially good on Christmas morning because you put it together the night before.

Christmas morning in their new pajama's!

Visions of Sugar Plums

Christmas Eve is my favorite night of the year. I love all the events that lead up to bedtime and all the magic in the air. I can't help but think of that night so long ago when our Savior Jesus Christ was born into this world. How grateful I am for His birth and for the example that He has shown all of us. I love that the children are so excited that they can hardly sleep. I love that Lillian thinks Santa only needs two brownies because he might pop if he has more. Truly a magical night in so many ways.

Christmas Eve dinner is my favorite to prepare. We had a ham, scalloped potatoes, stuffing and a delicious romaine salad with swiss cheese, bacon and lemon dressing.

Lilly loves the purse that Grandma "Tractor" made her. She carries it around everywhere and as you can see it even came to dinner with her.

In a house full of boys, I'm sure happy to have my girl!!

This year we left Santa some mint brownies and carrots for the reindeer.

On Christmas Eve before going to bed our family likes to read the Christmas story found in Luke Chapter 2 and then we watch the Nativity.

We used Norad to track Santa on his busy night! When Grant saw that Santa was in England he said, "Oh Mom, I still believe!"

The kids couldn't wait to open Grandma and Grandpa "Sugars" gift.

2nd Grade Party and Hearts

When Jeremy was little he would play hearts with his friends all of the time. So last night he decided to teach the children how to play. Lillian of course was on dad's team, they had a great time.

Yesterday the 2nd graders had their Christmas party at school. They frosted and decorated cookies, played charades, made a book mark and I read them How the Grinch Stole Christmas and the Elf on the Shelf. You could just feel the excitement in the room!!! I feel bad for the teachers this week!!!

Shelf Elf and Rudolph

This is Simon our Shelf Elf. Every morning we find Simon in a different spot in our home. The other morning we found him sitting in the chandelier. Tradition is that Simon is basically a spy for Santa. Every night Simon magically leaves to the North Pole to report to Santa on the children's behavior. In the morning our kids run downstairs to find Simon always in a different spot. He is really magical! Lilly insists that Simon occasionally winks at her! (Thanks to my sister Jodi who found him, my Grandma Williams always had these, so it is fun to have one of our own.)

The kids enjoy having dad read books to them near the Christmas tree.

Gingerbread Houses

Decorating gingerbread houses is such a fun December tradition. Of course Grant had to stop several times while decorating and perform (pretend to sing). He makes a great Bing Crosby!

I love that Lillian's gingerbread girl has a necklace on.

Monte and his Dad putting up the walls.

Here is what we used this year to decorate our gingerbread houses. My favorite is the ribbon candy!
