Sunday Will Come

Oliver's First Pair of Boots

Right before we left Utah in January we stopped off at Grandpa "Tractor's" work to say goodbye. Grandpa surprised Oliver with his very first pair of John Deere Cowboy boots. They're the funniest little things, I love em!

Just chillin....

All Ready for Church

On Sunday I hurried and snapped a picture right before church. Oliver was squirmy in the picture, he was ready to EAT!

Little Miss

Just Fishin

We didn't catch any fish, but we did catch these....

Goose waiting patiently for a fish to bite.

G getting his fishing pole ready.

I think Lilly got a hold of the camera...
Oliver's little cheeks are starting to fill out.

Goose Against Goose

Today Goose got off the bus and....
1- Ran as fast as he could home
2- Threw down his backpack near a puddle by the back door
3- Put on his bike helmet (thankfully he wore it today, you will later find out why)
4- Hopped on his bike and took off like a race horse
5- In a loud voice while riding away on his bike told me he was heading to the "swamp!"

I was upset because he knows better than to throw his backpack down outside and he knows that he has chores and homework to do before he plays. Did I stop him though? Nope. Should have, but thought I would hurry and get things squared away with the other kids and then go take off after him in a few minutes. I went inside for a minute and got Lilly going on her homework and began to feed Oliver his bottle. In the meantime Grant took off to the swamp to tell Goose to get home. A few minutes passed and Grant came running back, "Mom, Mom come quick Goose is getting attacked by Geese!!!!" Mind you Grant likes to play jokes so for a second I thought he was pulling my chain. Quickly I decided to go and check things out. I ran down the road with Grant as fast as I could. Right when I got to the swamp, Goose appeared from around a bush wearing a grin ear to ear. I thought to myself surely he didn't just get attacked by Geese, he wouldn't be smiling! Boy was I wrong!! Monte A.K.A. Goose preceded to tell me that he was minding his own business when all of a sudden the geese in the water started HISSING at him. If you haven't heard Geese HISS before, it is quite creepy sounding! Anyways, he then said that one came flying right towards him and started PEKING him like crazy on the top of his head!!! I asked, "Monte what did you do?" He replied, "Well first I dropped to my knees and covered my face, and then he said, "and Mom it's a good thing I had my bike helmet on it was so hard and that is what frightened the goose away, I bet you anything he broke his beak!" Needless to say ALWAYS wear your helmet, even when your walking through the swamp.

Checking for wounds....

Big Boy!

So the past couple of days I have been propping Oliver up in his saucer seat. He loves to sit upright and look around!
I love this picture of Oliver getting ready to put his toy in his mouth.

Oliver constantly has his little hands in his mouth. So today I tried giving him a toy to suck on, he loved it and chewed on it forever!

Reaching for his toy.

Oliver has such beautiful blue eyes just like his sister!

I always catch Lilly kissing her little brother.

Boys Only!

Goose came downstairs today wearing this little number...

I'm Kind of a Big Deal!

My friend Shannon gave Oliver this little shirt. I just love it and it pretty much sums up what we think!!

Heavenly Father's Existence is Everywhere

I came across this and wanted to share:
Elder Callister of the Seventy gave a beautiful devotional address at BYU-Idaho where he said:

"The doubter requires too much of us when he asks us to believe that the miracles of eyes and hands and DNA and order in the universe all happened by chance. The passage of time, even long intervals of time, is not a “cause” and provides no answers without an intelligent designer.

The evidence of Heavenly Father’s existence is everywhere: in every newborn babe and in every system, part, and parcel of the unending and orderly universe, including our own bodies. He is evidenced in every sunset, work of art, and passage of music, all of which He has provided to gladden the heart and bring beauty to our lives. Richard Swinburne said: 'God paints with a big brush from a large paintbox and he has no need to be stingy with the paint he uses to paint a beautiful universe.'

It is not possible to contemplate the immeasurable vacuum and purposelessness that would exist in our lives if He were not there. We would regret the passing of every day and the passing of every loved one, knowing that neither time nor relationships could be extended. We would approach the autumn and then the winter years of life with crescendoing fear. Every day of our lives we should thank Him that He is there and that this life is not all there is."

Looking for Fish

On Sunday we went on a little walk. We like to go to the pond and look for fish. No fish, but we did see a muskrat.

Circus

On Friday night we took the kids to the circus. We had never been to the circus and knew the kids would enjoy it. We had a great time!We especially liked the flame throwing jugglers, vase balancing act and the motorcycle guys.
This act blew me away. They had three motorcycles going in this at one time! No room for error!

I have to admit I was a little scared for the animal trainers. It was two of them, 8 tigers and 1 huge lion. Yikes!

The boxing Kangaroo was pretty funny...

Do clowns give you the heebie jeebies? They do me!

Oliver hates hates hates binkies! I have even tried several different kinds, but he just gags and spits them out. Instead he prefers to suck on both fists, what a little stinker!

Yes, you are all still my friends....

Yes, you are all still my friends, but no more facebook for me.

Greg Olsen Painting

I love this picture of the Savior holding the hand of this little boy. I couldn't help but think of our little boy Maxwell. The gospel of Jesus Christ brings me so much happiness and joy. I thank my Father in Heaven daily for the blessing it is to be Maxwell's mother throughout all eternity. I am grateful for my knowledge that families are truly forever, and that family relationships do in fact go beyond the grave. To me that is significant, I couldn't imagine it any other way. I know that I will see my little Maxwell again, and that brings me undescriable peace and joy.

Happy St. Patties!

Oliver was so happy and cute on his first St. Patrick's Day.

The kids minus Goose sportin their green.
As long as Jeremy and I have been married his mom has always cooked Corned Beef and Cabbage on St. Patrick's Day or whenever our family get together was in the month of March. Jeremy loves it so much so it is now a tradition for our family as well. To be honest it is on my list of not so good food. Jeremy and the kids love it though. Well let me rephrase that Jeremy, Grant and Monte love it. Corned Beef, Cabbage, Carrots, Red Potatoes and Horseradish sauce was on the menu tonight, and I was not excited about dinner. Although, I do like the veggies when they are cooked alone, there is just something that makes me gag when you slow cook the veggies with the corned beef. Weird, I know. Lilly and I had Mac and Tom, green jello and sourdough bread.

Once again the leprechauns visited our home. They left the toilet water green, green footprints all over the walls and even turned our milk green! Lilly made sure she was dressed very green. She wanted to make sure there wasn't ANY chance she would get pinched.

For breakfast we had green milk and my best attempt at green waffles. The waffles only looked green when you cut into them. I didn't realize that until I started cooking them.

Nothing quite like a cold glass of green milk.

Without fail every year the little men walk all over our walls leaving footprints everywhere!

Lilly was beyond thrilled when she woke up to gold on her pillow. Those leprechauns are at it again.
Monte was so happy that he lost his tooth at school. Losing a tooth at school means you get to go to the school nurse and she gives you a little treasure box to put your tooth in. I laughed when I saw Monte's note he left the tooth fairy. It says, "The tooth is by my jar of money on the book shelf. From:Monte" I am sure the toothfairy appreciated the heads up.

Meet Mona

Lillian is very proud of her Mona Lisa. It was so funny she came home from school and told me all about Mona and her mysterious eyes.

Tadpoles and Mud

Today was gorgeous and in the 60's. We took advantage of it. We headed outside around 3:00 and didn't come in until 6:30. I love days like these!! The kids will sleep good tonight.

Oliver was completely content hanging out in the sling.

Lilly loves to swing.

Grant said, "Mom can I use one of Oliver's wipes?" For some reason I don't think a wipe is going to do it buddy.

Goose had a ball running through the woods.

The boys were looking for signs of life. They were able to see some tadpoles and even tried to catch a snake they saw slithering around.

The kids have been taking turns reading to Oliver at night. They are so excited when it's there turn.
