On the Farm

After the Eternal Flame we had some time to kill before Grandma had to be to the airport so we stopped by this farm. The farm was beautiful and the kids loved petting the horses. I am now officially caught up with Grandma and Grandpa's trip to see us. We loved having them stay with us and can't wait to see them again!

Oliver's first time seeing a horse.

Down by the Banks

If you notice Jeremy is in NONE of the pictures. He has been studying his brains out, and sadly has not been able to spend a lot of time with his parents while they were visiting. We can't wait until he takes the bar and has that behind him!!! The kids can't wait for their dad to be back and I can't wait to have a husband back!!

Goose was prepared and brought his little guppie fish net from home, but no such luck we didn't catch any crawdads today.

Lilly can't seem to get enough of her little brother.

Standing on the dock...

Eternal Flame Falls

We love hiking down to the natural gas flame that burns underneath a waterfall.

The kids love to explore here. In the distance you can see the flame underneath the falls.

Almost to the waterfall.

Lilly and I spent some time alone on our hike. I am grateful to have a daughter.

So Sweet

For nearly three years I have been working with the Young Women in our church. No matter what I saw them every Sunday and Tuesday and then sometimes a couple more times on top of that each and every week. I really grew to love these girls because I spent so much time with them. I loved going to camp with them each and every year, and I love hearing about their adventures at school and what is going on with their lives. They are such good girls and such wondeful examples to me. I have learned so much from them and I am always amazed at the comments they give during the lessons on Sunday's. Tonight they surprised me with cookies and a sweet card. To say that I am going to miss them is an understatement!

Screens are a MUST

I felt bad for Grandma she was DYING of heat in our non-airconditioned house. She asked several times why I didn't leave my doors open to help cool it down. I kept telling her I couldn't because I didn't have screens. We had a good laugh when we saw this little critter at my back door. I think she may understand why I don't leave my doors open.

Who says Granny's can't dive?

The neighborhood pool opened last week and the kids were pretty excited! Most summer days are spent at this place. Grandma Tractor is such a fun granny! She taught the boys how to dive into the deep end and gave them rides on her back as she swam across the pool. Our kids are lucky to have such a fun fish for a grandma. They think she is pretty cool, we are happy to report that grandma wasn't injured this time while visiting us! :)

Lilly has no fear and loves to jump off the side wall into the water.

Lockport Caves

We have had so much fun exploring with Grandma and Grandpa Richards!

So beautiful....

Last Day of School

The kids were surprised when they saw Paca,Grandma and Oliver waiting for them on the last day of school at the bus stop.

I love this picture of Oliver and Paca, they're giving the exact same face!

School Lunch

The kids thought it was pretty neat to eat school lunch with their Grandma and Grandpa.

Blue Gill Meets Guppie

Tonight was our last night with Grandpa "Tractor" tomorrow he leaves back to Utah. To celebrate we let the kids stay up extra late. They went fishing at the pond near our home and caught firefly's in a little bread bag for Grandma. Moments ago Goose came running in the house and went straight upstairs. Whenever he does this I know he has a creature or something he is hiding. I went upstairs and found Goose starring at his fish tank. I noticed a new addition. Goose caught a blue gill and it is now living in our fish tank full of guppies. We'll see how long he lasts. Ironically, tonight all the children have come down with coughs and insist they are not well enough to go to school tomorrow. I could be wrong, but I am thinking they want to skip school and spend the morning with their Paca Tractor with whom they love so very much.

Marshmellow Guns

The kids had such a great time making marshmellow guns with their Paca. They love shooting marshmellows at each other!

Evangola Beach

We had an absolute wonderful time at Evangola Beach. The weather was mild and gorgeous. The kids could spend all day here skipping stones, swimming, searching for shells and exploring the cliffs.

We have to be careful with this little boy of ours. He is very fair. I was happy when I found this long sleeve swim shirt!

I love this sweet little boy of mine. It was Oliver's first time at the beach.

The beach is loaded with the perfectly flat and round skipping rocks.

After swimming in the lake the kids were starving. Grant helped Paca grill some hamburgers.
