Football Season

Chief is so well rounded. :) Not only does he love to dance, he loves music, is fascinated with how things work, likes to "help" me clean, loves to "read" and loves sports and the outdoors. If I don't say so myself I think he is pretty much perfect in every way.
HIKE!

A bit too high....

Catch it Chief!

Running for the touchdown!

Yogurt Paint & Great Find

On Saturday afternoon Goose went fishing with Jeremy and the other chickens. Goose was sooo excited when he came home. He told me to come outside and look. I guess while they were at the pond, Goose noticed something in the water. Of course he got in the pond and waded out to this beauty that was mostly under water. I am sure he had a grin from ear to ear when he pulled it out! Jeremy and Goose powerwashed it off and Chief is now one happy boy! Although a bit big Chief loves his cherry red ride.

This picture of Chief busts me up. He's caught! My little man loves to lay the vacuum down and inspect underneath and turn the wheels. He is fascinated with anything with wheels on it.

One day last week Chief was eating yogurt like a good boy and using his spoon. I turned my head for just a second and looked back to see Chief painting himself with yogurt as well as the table. Awesome.

Forget Not.....

I absolutely loved Dieter F. Uchtdorf's talk at the Relief Society Broadcast on Saturday evening.
Forget Not:
1- To be patient with yourself.
2- The difference between good and foolish sacrifices.
3- To be happy now.
4- The way of the gospel.
5- That the Lord loves you.

Peach Picking

On Friday while the big kids were at school Oliver and I along with some friends went peach picking at Sanger Farms. The peaches were gorgeous and delicious!! Ever since we moved here I have been looking for U-Pick peaches. Every orchard I called said they don't do U-pick peaches because the trees are too delicate. I can't tell you how happy I was when a friend told me about this peach orchard! I ended up getting two bushels and am working on getting those taken care of before they go bad.

Chief LOVES peaches! I think by Friday night he had already eaten four.

Such a good little helper....

Chief thought the peaches were balls. He was in absolute heaven!

I love that the wind caught his little hair in front.

The Silo

For Family Home Evening tonight we headed to the Silo in Lewiston. It was a gorgeous night! I really love sailboats and was tempted to hop aboard.

The Silo is such a fun place to go for ice-cream and onion rings.

The Silo is famous!!!

Goose checking out the Black Pearl.

Chief loved these bears that were in front of the ice-cream stand.

The kids all eating there ice-cream on the boardwalk.

While eating you have a beautiful view of the river.

Oliver George is a Monkey

Chief thinks he is a monkey, he is constantly climbing and jumps off the arm of the couch. I am seriously considering getting him a helmet to wear around the house. Thankfully, he's never broken anything. We are also struggling with Chief's manners. He prefers to eat like a puppy. This is also the same way that he tries to drink from puddles. Should I be worried? :) Despite having monkeys with no manners, kids that complain about their chores and puddle drinkers I think I'm the luckiest. I love my job.

How can you get mad at this face?

I can't seem to keep our little monkey from climbing on the table constantly!

Oliver George Gets a Bed in July

I have been meaning to post this, but back in July we put Oliver George in a toddler bed. He kept climbing out of his crib, so we sort of had no choice. It took a good week of him getting used to his bed. At first he kept climbing out and would come in my room and point his finger at me and say, NO!" I would try my hardest not to laugh and march him back into his little bed. We had some late nights. A couple of nights he did this routine for 3 hours straight. However, now he just crawls into his sisters bed and sleeps with her every night. It really is the cutest thing!

Back to School Dinner

Our back to school dinner was fun, but never tastes quite as good as when my mom makes it. The kids told us funny things about their days. Grant told me that he thinks the lunch lady overdosed on makeup. He said she had way way way too much lipstick, tons of mascara and gigantic earrings! I reminded him to be nice. Grant is especially excited for gym. He can't wait to start swimming and is especially excited for the video game bikes. I guess with those it has a little screen that looks like a road and it looks like you're actually biking!?
Goose is excited to be the old kids on campus. He is also excited to be the oldie on the bus.
Bean is excited to hopefully get a chance to be the girl who delivers notes to teachers. She can hardly wait and told me all about what she needs to do if there is a fire drill while she is walking down the hallway delivering a note to a teacher. All the kids had a wonderful day! We look forward to a great year!

For dinner we had roast, mashed potatoes and gravy, corn, stuffing, rolls and green salad. The rest of the week we're having leftovers.

1st Day of School

Today I woke up and sent a child off to Middle School which is 5th grade here, 4th and
2nd grade. It was bittersweet. This is the year Maxwell would be starting kindergarten. I couldn't help but think about that, but tried not too. The first day of school is always a bit emotional for me. I am so happy and excited for the children, but a bit sad. Sad that there growing so stinking fast! All three children are excited to go back to school, however Goose did tell me he thinks his particular school is lame. I am thinking Oliver is going to miss his siblings. Buffalo is known for their gorgeous summers and this summer didn't disapoint. Although, I love summer I do look forward to somewhat more of a routine. I also need to tackle some of the kids closets! Today when I put the children on the bus it was around 57 degrees! Fall is in the air!

This morning Bean asked me to meet her at the school and walk her to her class. It made my day! Here she is with her teacher Mrs. Leonard. Bean is excited to be back!

The middle school bus arrives at 8:25 a.m. Grant's off to his first day of middle school. He's really excited! Hopefully he doesn't forget his locker combination!

The bus arrives at 7:45 a.m. to pickup my 2nd and 4th grader.

This year Granny is on a seperate bus because he goes to Middle School.

She's off to the bus stop on the corner.....

2nd Grader. Bean has grown 1 1/2 inches since the first day of school last year.

4th Grader. Goose has grown 2 1/2 inches since the first day of school last year.

5th Grader- Middle School!!! Granny has grown 4 inches since the first day of school last year. He also wears a size 7 1/2 in mens shoes! He is going to pass his dad and mom up in no time!

These kids are growing up way too fast!

Chief is going to miss his older brothers and sister during the day.

Chief is such a ham! He kept cheeseing it but in the wrong direction.
