It's garbage day, which means I can count on Goose to come home with all sorts of treasures. Today I saw Goose coming down the street with our wheelbarrow carrying a huge fish tank! Oh Boy!

Chief Catches Fish
While backpacking in Pennsylvania with his dad, Chief caught a fish without any help! Chief is very independent and likes to do everything himself. So, Jeremy put a hook on Chiefs cheap plastic pole. Chief cast it out and in a matter of minutes Chief had a Bass on his line. Jer tried to help him reel it in and Chief insisted he could do it himself. Sure enough he was able to cast and reel in all by himself. We have another fisherman on our hands! Chief was so happy!!!!
Backpacking Trip in Pennyslvania
Trying to catch up on our summer thus far.....
Jeremy took Chief and Goose on a backpacking/Canoe trip in Pennsylvania, they had a great time! They threw all their gear in the canoe and spent their days fishing and exploring. In the evening they would anchor down the canoe and pitch their tents on the banks of the river. Chief and Goose were in their element! They caught salamanders, frogs, fish and crawdads. A boys paradise for sure!

Take Cover
Jeremy has been taking the children nearly every day after work canoeing. This past week they left and the weather was great. About an hour later the weather turned into a severe thunderstorm warning. I was at home and it began to pour buckets! I knew my boys were out in a canoe and I was worried sick! Thankfully, Jeremy got a warning on his phone of the severe weather headed there way and they were able to escape and get out of the water, before things turned bad. On the trip they say lots of deer, a blue heron and fish. They did have to take cover under a bridge for a bit. These kids are so blessed to have Jeremy as their dad.

BLuBeRRy PiCkinG
I have been cooped up in the house way to long between bed-rest and hospital stays. I had to get out before I went stir crazy and I don't want to let this summer pass me by! Buffalo winters can be long! So I left the loads of dirty laundry and dirty house and took the kids on a little outing. Chief loves going and seeing the farm animals and I love going and picking fresh produce. It's a win-win. We had a wonderful time! Bean really seems to enjoy picking and Chief is just hysterical to watch. At one point he parked himself under the blueberry bush and just sat and ate and ate and ate. This boy LOVES fruit! He kept on saying, "These are so yummy and delicious!"
Chasing Chickens
Chief loves animals and going to the farm. This visit he especially loved chasing the chickens. He kept saying, "I'm going to catch that chicken!"
