Dinner Back in the Day

My sister Mitz, sent me this picture. I just love it, so many memories came flooding back when I saw it. Grandma and Grandpa were over to our home nearly every day growing up. Every Sunday, after church my mom would cook a roast and potatoes, without fail Grandma and Grandpa would be at Sunday dinner. I miss them so much. I was really close to them and wish Jeremy and my children could have met them. Goose carries the middle name of Everett after my Grandpa.
(I seriously remember LOVING my short mushroom haircut. What was I thinking? :)

Chief and the Hose

Chief is at it again. This little fireman loves the water! So I put out some toys and the garbage can and had him "clean" them.

Crystal Beach in Ontario, Canada

Earlier this week I took the children to meet some friends at Crystal Beach. I was a little nervous dragging six kids to the beach by myself. I have never seen Crystal Beach so crowded and almost turned around when I couldn't find any parking that was close to the entrance. I ended up parking in a lot a ways down the road. It was no easy feat getting to the beach. Chief kept wanting to run ahead. Adelaide's stroller wasn't rolling in the sand all that well. G kept asking me if I grabbed his beach chair and Goose told me he forgot all of our water at home. Thankfully, I have great friends and upon my arrival at the beach they took some kids off my hands and helped me the rest of the afternoon. THANK YOU friends!!!

 

 

Lazy Afternoons

We love going to Allegany! Last Saturday we headed up there and canoed and roasted some hot-dogs. Me and Bean had grilled cheese dipped in ketchup. Yummy! Jeremy took the 4 older kids out on the canoe while I laid on a blanket and relaxed with two sleeping babies. It was a greatly needed break!

Canoeing at Red House

The children have spent quite a bit of time this summer canoeing. I can't wait to go on a canoe trip with Jeremy in 7 years!  :)

 

Rope Swinging

Several years back we found the perfect swimming hole. We got a rope and made a rope swing. The kids love going here! Chief even gave it a whirl! Love the picture of some of my monkey's in the tree and of course I love Jeremy's superman jump. It is crazy to think that there is a deep enough spot in this creek to jump and dive into.
