Happy 1st Birthday Miss Adelaide Pearl-Ladybug Picnic

It is hard to believe that our little Adelaide Pearl turned one! This year has raced by! For our little lady we had a ladybug party. She invited her brothers and sister and of course Jeremy and me. Adelaide loves pizza so Jeremy picked up some Little Caesars on his way home from work. For dessert a ladybug cake that Lillian helped me make and vanilla ice-cream. Adelaide is so mild and sweet. Last week we were saying family prayers and on her own she folded her arms. I about died. It was pretty much the cutest thing ever! Now when we have prayer she is the first one to fold her little arms, it really is pretty adorable! Adelaide loves all the attention that she gets from her daddy and siblings. Adelaide absolutely hates shoes and socks and won't keep them on for anything. If we are going out a lot of times I have to put her in tights and then her jeans over them because she hasn't figured out how to take her tights off yet. :) Adelaide says, "Ma-ma, Da-da, Hi and can often be heard growling. She has the cutest little laugh that you have ever heard. She is super ticklish and loves her baby doll that she got for Christmas. She has started standing up on her own and has even taken a few steps. She loves fruit, pasta, oatmeal, yogurt and noodles. She is really not a fan of cheese, but will eat a few bites. Adelaide is so incredibly easy going. She is a breath of fresh air with her mellow attitude. She has got the cutest personality and can constantly be found playing peek-a-boo. Although, she covers her ears instead of her eyes. :) We were in Target today and she pulled the blanket up over her head and held it there for like 30 seconds and then pulled it off and started laughing. She did this over and over. I have never had a baby love the game so much. We are forever grateful for our little lady. We love her so much! Happy Birthday Adelaide Pearl!

Toad Paper

Chief's favorite paper....

Chief fixes things

Chief pretty much loves tools. However, not fake tools, the REAL thing. This past afternoon he spent playing with Jeremy's real drill. I probably shouldn't have let him, but he was so content and wasn't hurting it or anyone else. However, before he got the drill out he gave Adelaide a ride in his Tonka truck. She pretty much hated it! :) When Goose got home, they both decided to play mechanic. They pretended to take the wheels off the Tonka truck and put them back on. I was their first customer and had Chief "fix" all sorts of things. He pretended to fix the Tonka truck a rocking horse and several matchbox cars. When I asked how much it cost he told me it was free! Goose told Chief he could charge me a little bit, so Chief jumped in and said, "Ok that will be thirty dollars!" I love these kids!

Random...

Adelaide loves going up to the piano and getting on her tipsy toes and tapping the keys with her fingers. She has also started opening cupboards and emptying everything out. I am not getting much done these days. I wonder why? :)

Happy 4th Birthday Chief!

Chief it's official your 4 years old! "No mom, I'm turning 13 today." HapPy BiRtHdAy to my little Chief who has made many messes, brought me many toads and made us laugh hysterically since 2010.
We are forever grateful for Oliver. He is by far my most easily excited child. He is absolutely hilarious to watch open Christmas and birthday gifts. He gets crazy excited! You could give a can of beans wrapped up pretty and he would open it and loudly say, "I LOVE it!" Today he was helping me make dinner and he was so excited measuring out the cumin, cayenne and garlic powder. He would dump it in the bowl and say, "I am such a big boy helping in the kitchen. This looks sooo yummy!!" We love having Chief around. He is always telling me that Clark is his best friend. He absolutely loves Toad and he "tolerates" his pink sister. It is crazy lately he is all about saying he only likes boy babies, not pink ones. Sorry Adelaide. It's just a phase and I am sure that him and Adelaide will one day be super close. But for now this 4 year old is pure boy and I am thinking I have some busy years with Chief and Toad. ;) Hopefully, Adelaide will ground them both! :)
As far as birthday dinner goes, Chief requested hot dogs. Bean wanted to make Chief's birthday cake, so I let her. For his birthday his favorite gift was a race track with shake n' go cars. He has played with it non-stop.
