Bean is part of Girls on the Run. I can't say enough about the program. We both LOVE it. Not only do they run,but they focus on nutrition, a healthy lifestyle and just overall well being. It has been awesome. Last week they ran a practice 5k. There "real" race is on a Sunday in June so Bean won't be running. However, we are planning on running the Freedom Run in Provo, Utah together this summer. We are excited to run with family and be by the mountains!!!

Remembering at Forest Lawn
This marked our 7th year that we visited Forest Lawn Cemetery. We stuck flags on all the graves of the men and women who fought and served our country. We are forever grateful to live in America and realize that freedom isn't free. So grateful, for those who sacrificed so that we could have the freedoms that we enjoy.
Happy Mother's Day
Today was Mother's Day. Jer is always so good at taking the kids out to pick me out a few treats. On Saturday night they came home and Chief came running in with a beautiful bouquet of flowers. He told me he couldn't wait until Mother's Day. I guess when Jer asked Chief what he wanted to get me for Mother's Day, Chief immediately replied, "Flowers!" Good job Chief! I woke up to a delicious breakfast that Jer made. I love eggs and he made me a yummy souffle with green peppers and cheese. It was delicious.
Thank You Jeremy for everything! Ever since I was a little girl I have always wanted to be a wife and mother and I am so blessed to be just that.
To My Beautiful Children:
I love being your mom. Here are some things that you have all done that make me feel loved and appreciated. I am honored to be your mom and I will love you forever and always.
* Today I felt loved. I had a busy day with two sick fevering babes, 92 1/2 loads of laundry and a 4 year old who kept making a mad dash outside. Needless to say I was feeling a bit overwhelmed. The last thing that I wanted to do was cook dinner. To my surprise when my daughter came home from school and without being asked she told me she wanted to cook dinner for the family. We sat down to the most delicious waffles. We love her!
*I love when I see my older boys respect other women. The other day G opened the door for an elderly women.
*Bean got a pair of shorts froma friend as a birthday gift. When Goose saw the shorts in the box he told Bean that they weren't very modest. I am glad he understands the importance of modesty and also setting an example to his sister that there are still boys who respect girls who are modest.
* I feel honored that my daughter has self respect and cares about her dress and strives to be modest.
* I feel loved when my children simply laugh and talk with me.
* I feel honored when my children talk of their desires to serve missions.
* I feel honored when I hear G talk about how he needs to start looking for a job so that he can pay for his mission.
* I feel appreciated and loved when Chief brings me a cup of worms and tells me they are just for me. In his sweet little eyes he thinks that is the best gift ever and it is. I just love him.
I feel appreciated when my kids do their chores and clean up after themselves without being asked!
* I feel honored when my Chief grabs my cheeks and says,"Oh, I just love your head!"
I feel honored when I see in my children some of their father's characteristics like strong testimony and incredible work ethic.
* I feel honored that my children respect their father.
* I feel loved when my older boys want to spend time with me and ask me to play a game of horse in the cracked driveway or Monopoly on a drizzly day.
* In an odd way, I feel loved and appreciated when Goose calls my name in the night and asks me where he can put his chewwed piece of gum. I put my hand out and he spits it in there. We both laugh and he tells me he loves me. I love that we can laugh together and tease.
*I love when my children stike up a conversation with me. I love hearing about their lives and what is happening at school and with their friends.
*I feel loved when Chief innocently picks the neighbors daffodils and brings them to me and says sorry after duct-taping my kitchen chairs together.
*I feel loved and appreciated when Bean helps me out by caring for her three younger siblings, while I prepare dinner. She is going to be a wonderful mother one day!
I appreciate when I see my kids playing a board game together and not fighting.
* I love when I go in and remind my children to read their personal scriputres and they tell me they already did it in the morning.
I feel honored that I am the mother of Maxwell. He taught me countless lessons during his short time on this earth and continues to teach me. So grateful for that experience and the incredible growth that our family experienced.
I am honored to be a mother to seven beautiful children. It is the best job in the entire world. There are good days and bad days. There are loads and loads and loads of dirty dishes and laundry, sleepless nights and bags under my eyes, countless diaper changes and scraped and bruised knees, However, at the end of the day I wouldn't trade being a mom for a perfect figure or a million dollars. I am so blessed to be a mom.
No Worms Allowed
Guess what snuck into my living room this afternoon? That's right a worm. He got a ride with Chief. I told him, "No worms in the house!" FYI the worm returned safely to the muddly puddle near my rose bush in the backyard.
Danger
The other day I was on the walk with the children. Chief said,"What does that say?" I told him,"DANGER KEEP OFF." He replied, "No mom, it says get on me." We both started laughing. I can't get enough of this boy. I just love him!

Locked In
The other day Goose got locked in the shed. G told me Chief did it, but I don't think so......He spent some time in there since Jer was at a church meeting and had the keys on his key ring. Luckily, there are only a few mice that live in there! :)
Bean Dances
Last week, Bean had her dance recital. She especially likes to put on all of her "stage makeup." She did great and loved getting a yellow rose from us after she performed. Love this girl!
Kid's Life Musical
Bean was in the school musical called Kid's Life. She had two parts. She played the washboard in the family band and then was a ghost. They all did such a great job and Bean was especially scary in her ghost costume.
Preschool Graduation
This past year Chief went to a little preschool two days a week from 9:30-11:30. He loved going and seeing some of his church friends there as well as meeting new buddies. This past week he graduated. It is crazy how fast time goes. He still has another year until kindergarten. I think we will do this program again next year and then I will teach him on the other days. Glad I get to keep him home one more year.
Hosing of the Dump Truck
It's early in the season, but the hose has already been out on multiple occasions. Chief's dump truck has never been so clean!
