Lady and her baby
Our little lady loves her baby and thinks she is a little mommy. She likes to discipline Toad and she tells him NO often. She also likes to take her dolly and set her on the potty. I have been meaning to return this swing to my friend, but have stalled because Lady loves putting her baby in it and pushing her. She is such a sweet little miss.
Wooden Spoon
The other day I gave Toad a wooden spoon to play with while we were in the kitchen. He loves to hit it on the Tupperware. He waddled into the living room and I followed him, because I don't like him taking stuff in there. I went to grab the wooden spoon from him and before I knew it he threw it and it hit the lamp and shattered it! One more thing for the naughty books.....
Oh Lady
The other day we were at Wegman's checking out and Lady kept saying, "Jesus, Jesus." I looked over and sure enough!
18 Months: Toad goes to Nursery
It is hard to believe that Toad is 18 months! Where does the time go!? Once you turn 18 months that means that you can go to nursery at church. Which means I can go to Sunday School and Relief Society without any babies and I can actually listen. I don't know if I like it. I don't like this whole growing up thing, not one bit. I am pretty content having a baby in my arms at all times. Sunday mornings are really crazy at our home. Jer has early morning meetings which leaves me to get all the children bathed, fed and dressed. It is a CIRCUS!! Thankfully, the older three can get themselves dressed. However, just doing the three littles by myself is a chore. I have a routine that I stick by and it helps a bit. Well on this particular Sunday I made sure to get some photos of Toad after all it is his first day in nursery. Things were going remarkably well and I was a little in shock that our morning was running so smoothly. I usually have the car started and warming up and then I have the older kids get in as well as Oliver. I then get one of the babies and go buckle them in. Well on this particular day all the kids were in the car and I had just Toad left to buckle. I came back in the house to get him and load him in the car and I discovered that one of the older children had left their cup of chocolate milk on the edge of the table and look who got it!? Thankfully, Toad owns two church outfits. We hurried and did an outfit change and managed to still make it to church on time. It's a good thing he is cute! When I went to drop him off at nursery he didn't even bat an eye. He was off without any complaints. He headed straight for the dinosaurs. I love that he is in their with his big little sister!\
Getting to Church is ALWAYS an adventure!
Before and Afters:
I love to see the Temple
I have all of a sudden taken an interest in family history. Recently, I have found several family members who needed temple work done. It was exciting to find them, print their names off and take them to the temple! My goal is to get my children who are 12 and up to the temple monthly. This is difficult given everyone's schedules and the three hour driving trip on top of the time spent in the temple, but I am determined to do it. So far my boys are the only ones old enough to go. I say that I want to get there every month with the boys, but I am shooting for the moon and hoping to land in the stars. We will do our best to get there as often as possible. So far we have been twice in the past couple of months and I absolutely love the time with just my boys. After the temple we usually go grab some pizza and stop off at a local antique store. Goose loves old things. Everything worthwhile in life takes hard work and sacrifice and I am really determined to make this work.
Fresh Fallen Snow
Fresh fallen snow means sledding! Jer and I took Chief to a local hill and did a little sledding then went and picked up some hot cocoa afterwards. Loved our alone time with Chief.
