New Year's Eve 2016

For New Year's Eve we invited the missionaries over for dinner and games. Monte also invited some friends over. We had a great time! We ate lots of junk food and wings and pizza. After we ate, we played some fun board games. At midnight we watched the ball drop and sipped on some non-alcoholic bubbly. It was another great New Year's Eve with my little family. 

It Arrived!!

So many Christmas present finally arrived and it was A LOT bigger than I had anticipated! I must have measured wrong. The children and Jer all made fun of the size, but I was committed to finding the perfect spot to hang it. I love this painting and artist so very much. I ended up moving it from the spot shown in this picture and it now hangs above my couch and I am so happy with it. Ever since I was a little girl I have loved art and always want to fill my home with beautiful pieces. It takes lots of time and patience to get it all, but surely one piece at a time and eventually in 90 years I will have a beautiful piece of art in every room of my home. 

Aquarium of Niagara

Over Christmas break Jer took the children to the Aquarium of the Niagara while I got some Christmas stuff put away. The children all loved it.

Sometimes you go to the Bass Pro Shop in Canada to wear pink cowboy hats and ride on horses. 

Merry Christmas!

The children woke up around 6:15 a.m. Christmas morning. I am pretty sure Oliver did a little Christmas peeking before he came and woke us all up. We always gather at the top of the stairs for a picture. This year Monte refused to get in it, and I decided top pick my battles. After the stair picture all of the children run down the stairs to the tree to hunt for the green dill pickle ornament. Once again, Monte found it! I think he has found it every single year, give or take a year or two. He has quite the eye! Because Monte found the hidden pickle ornament he gets to open the family gift. Which is always a game or something to do outdoors as a family. We then all take turns opening a gift which pretty soon turns into everyone opening their gifts at the same time. It is so fun to see the excitement on everyone's faces! I love this time of yea and the thing that I love very most is the extra time spent with my family. They are my everything.
