Amy's a SURVIVOR!!!!

My friend Amy is pretty amazing and is a breast cancer survivor. Amy has such a great attitude towards life and is such a great example to me. For the Susan G. Komen race she organized Team Hulse. It was such an honor to be on her team. She also made us all pink flower clips to wear while running and her mother-in-law made darling Team Hulse headbands. The Susan G. Komen race is always an emotional run. Among the thousands and thousands of people you see those wearing hot pink shirts. That means they are a breast cancer survivor. My friend Amy was one of those wearing a hot pink shirt. You also see those running with a In Remembrance of Photo on their shirt. Needless to say it all pulls at your heart strings. It is so wonderful to be surrounded by such good people. I am so blessed to have such incredible friends.

Oliver's second race!!! He was so great before, during and after the race. He loves riding in the stroller!
This is all of us after the race and super sweaty! When I got home I checked the humidity and it was at 71% needless to say it was a hot one!!!

Amy's mother-in-law made us all these super cute headbands to wear during the race.

Penn Dixie

Today I had the opportunity to go with Monte and his 2nd grade friends on a field trip to Penn Dixie. There they learned about fossils and then spent the day finding them. The kids seemed to all have a great time digging in the dirt, and it was especially fun because the ground was loaded with fossils!!

It's Great to be Eight!

Goose turned eight years old today and I can hardly believe it! Monte is pure joy to be around. I especially love his huge smile! I get a kick out of Goose and his love for nature and the great outdoors. He loves to explore and be outside. The other day while on our walk Goose found a caterpillar near the pond. He brought it all the way back to our house and put it in his bug jar. Well the next morning Goose came running to me saying, "Mom, Mom LOOK!" I looked and sure enough the caterpillar put its self in a coccoon and it happened all in his bug jar overnight. He thought he was the luckiest boy ever!!! We love you Goose, Happy Birthday!!!

Make a wish.....

On the kids eighth birthday they get a ridiculously large number eight birthday cake.

After dinner and dessert we headed to the pet store to pick up Monte's birthday present. He got a fish tank and some fish. He is thrilled!!!!!

Today we were invited to the classroom to share pictures of Monte with the class and I also read the class some of the funny things Goose has said over the past 8 years. It was no surprise for his birthday treat, he chose dirt cups with a gummi worm and a gummi centipede! This picture is Monte with his sweet teacher Mrs. Hallmark and of course little Oliver.

Goose started off his day with breakfast in bed.

Look Who's 5 Months!

I can't believe Oliver is already 5 months old! He has got the sweetest disposition and is so content! Whenever I look at him and give him a little smile he looks back and smiles at me from ear to ear. He is a very happy baby. Recently he has started grabbing your face whenever you hold him. Oliver loves the bath and loves to stick his hands in the sink faucet while it's running. We love our little man!

Oliver loves Jeremy's scratchy face!

Birthday Race

We had such a great day!!! The kids surprised me with a delicous chocolate cake, homemade cards and Spumoni my favorite ice-cream. I had to laugh when I read Grant's birthday card. It said, "I love you, and I want to babysit Oliver for 15 minutes, that's a long time for a kid! I hope you have a good day. Nine hours later......Good night." ~Grant

Jeremy and the kids gave me beautiful flowers.

We started the day off with the 22nd Annual Kids Run around Delaware Park. The race was 1.8 miles, we had such a wonderful time!!! All the kids received a number, timing chip, medal and a free pass to the zoo. Pretty good deal since the race was free. We look forward to making this a yearly tradition, but hopefully next year Jeremy can join us. We can't wait until he is done studying for the bar!!!

Here are some of the friends that we ran with.

This picture of Oliver cracks me up. This was his first "race."

Stretching before the race....

Goose making sure his timing chip was securely on his shoe.

The kids had fun at the zoo, and Monte discovered the perfect climbing tree near the zoo playground.

Building Rockets

So the other day we went and built "free" rockets at the hobby shop. I was a little dissapointed because yes the rockets were free, but then in order to get them to fly you had to purchase a engine and wadding. So for those two things it would have been $27.00 each to fly the rocket ONCE. So they got the free rocket but now they just sit on there nightstands.
