4th Grade Picnic and Graduation

In our school district you are done with elementary school after fourth grade. At 4th grade graduation all the teachers gave a little speech. Here is Mr. Holtz, he gave a great speech.

The Fourth Grade Class

The last day of school, Goose knew that I was coming in to help with the BBQ. I think he asked me 10 times before he left for school if I was bringing Chief. Goose loves his brother!

All the fourth graders had tons of food to choose from: hotdogs, watermelon, chips, vegetable tray, grapes, tons of desserts and they each got a cup of dippin dots. Those are delicious!

Goose with his friend and Chief. I think Chief thinks he's in fourth grade. At this point Chief ditched his cowboy boots.

I love Goose and am grateful that I was able to be a room mom for his last year of Elementary.

After all the food and games the kids had the opportunity to play on their new school playground. All the kids love Chief. Notice Chief riding the ladybug?

Nik Wallenda Crosses Niagara Falls on a Tightrope

While Jeremy and I were in Tennessee the kids had lots of fun at their friends house. They had the opportunity of a lifetime. They were able to watch daredevil Nik Wallenda cross over Niagara Falls on a tight rope. Do you see him on the tightrope? Crazy!!! Thanks for taking them Chiapelli's!

Classic Waco Biplane- Nashville Tennessee Countryside

While in Tennessee, Jeremy and I took advantage of some things that we can't do with the kids. The highlight of our trip was riding in the front seat of an open-cockpit classic Waco biplane. It was a BLAST!!! I love airplanes and I loved buzzing around the countryside of Tennessee with Jeremy. The view was spectacular! There were a few times when our teeny tiny plane hit some turbulance and it would drop and bipbop around. That did freak me out for a minute. Other than that, it was such a fun experience. This is the end of my marathon Tennessee post. I am so grateful to have such wonderful friends who watched my kids. Thank you Eliza and Tara! I felt a little guilty at times thinking that I was having all this alone couple time and my friends were busy chasing my kids, feeding them, bathing them, and going and retrieving shoes that were thrown out of the backseat window from a moving car onto a busy road. (That would be Chief.) :)
Thanks Tara and Eliza!!!!!

Taking off! Loved it!!

Beautiful day to fly!

This is the Captain of the plane! Do you see him? He sat in the back of us and we were up front. It was amazing!!!

At one point I looked at the airspeed and we were going 100.

Beautiful rolling hills and green.

Miss Milly, The Airplane
Jeremy and the Pilot

Jeremy and I have always heard of Piggly Wiggly, but never have went. With a name like that and not sure when we would make it back South of course we had to go and check it out! We bought some gum for Lilly and a couple drinks.
On a sidenote, when I asked the kids what they wanted from TN, Goose said, "An old oil can" Bean said, "Taylor Swifts autograph and some bubblegum." Granny said, " An old bike."

Canoe Trip on the Harpeth River

Jeremy and I spent the afternoon canoeing down the Harpeth River. It was really beautiful and relaxing, that is until I almost got bit by a poisinous snake! Thankfully, I didn't and we returned safely to our children.

Jeremy caught a soft shell turtle.

Jeremy caught all sorts of things in the river.
Beautiful.

Zip Lining in a 40 acre Forest

Jeremy and I have always wanted to zipline and we finally had the opportunity to go.
We loved zipping through the trees in an old growth forest by the Harpeth River. Beautiful! We did a series of 9 zips up to 85 ft. high and 600 feet long.  Can't wait to do this again sometime.

Do you see me? No hands!

Jeremy and I racing, each on our own zipline.

Jeremy got a head start, and won. ;)

Racing to the finish!

Jeremy beat me to the finish line, but only because he went before they said GO! ;)

SOOOO MUCH FUN!!!!!
