Blessings

This is proof that my littles do sometime sleep! :)
Feeling blessed tonight.
Indeed they are miracle babies.

Winter on the Farm

Winter on the farm. I had a lightbulb moment today. When the Father and the Son appeared to Joseph Smith in the Sacred Grove, they called him by name. A testament to the fact that our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ know us individually by name.

I Love to See the Temple

I often look back to when I was first married and my biggest trial was being so worried about how we would pay our $50 credit card bill. As I grow older it seems that the trials of life get harder, more intense and a lot more frequent. Grateful that I can step away and go to the temple and be reminded that I can do hard things. I can go to the temple and be reminded that the Savior knows me by name. I can go to the temple and find peace and rest and whatever I'm experiencing at the moment. The temple puts everything into perspective of what matters in life and what doesn't. Grateful for a Savior that suffered for not only my sins, but for my heartaches and trials as well. He suffered for us so that He could succor us when we are in the midst of a trial.

Toad's Prayer

Tonight, Toad was saying the family prayer and all of a sudden, he flexed both of his muscles and said, "thank you for my muscles and for being strong." I am defiantly a prayer peeker when I hear my littles pray and so grateful that I witnessed him flexing.

Sunbeams!

I blinked and my babies are SUNBEAMS! No more nursery for these two. They absolutely loved their first day. They are growing up. I sure do love these two.

Elma Meadows Snowshoeing and Sledding

For Oliver's birthday we happened to get a beautiful snowstorm that dropped lots of the powdery stuff. So on Oliver's birthday we headed to the hills and did some sledding and snowshoeing. It was the perfect birthday activity.

Happy 7th Birthday Oliver!

Chief is our rainbow baby. He is the rainbow that came after one of our many storms. I am forever grateful for his birthmother. I get tears in my eyes when I think of her and her selfless act and the sacrifice that she made. She loved Oliver so much and wanted him to have a mom AND a dad. Something that she couldn't provide at the time. We are forever grateful for her love, her unselfishness and her huge heart. In my mind, there has to be a special place in heaven for birthmothers. Chief has many of his birthmother's traits. His heart is as big as the Grand Canyon, he's incredibly compassionate and the most loving little boy. Not a day goes by that I don't hear I love you. Chief can always be found on an adventure. Whether it's making a harness and lowering himself from the top bunk or making a makeshift parachute from grocery bags and jumping out of a tree house. His eye lashes go on for days and his strong personality keeps me on my toes to say he least. Thank you Chief for being my workout buddy and for reminding me of what love is. Happiest of birthday's to my favorite SEVEN year old.

Sunny Sunday

Sunny Sunday's, Toad on the table and Ticket to ride are my favorite Sunday's.

Relax

Sometimes you just need to sit on the couch with some popcorn and watch a movie and relax.

Sprague Brook Park Sledding

January started with some beautiful snowy sledding days. We headed to Sprague Brook to check it out. The hill was really big and awesome. Quite the workout lugging children up over and over. Clark liked it, but must have been really hungry because he kept asking for dinner. Oliver was in sledding heaven and absolutely loved every minute of it and didn't complain a single time hiking up the huge hill in the snow.

Primary Birthday

I happened to be subbing in Primary when they sang Happy Birthday to Oliver in Primary. I can hardly believe he is seven! He enjoyed picking a birthday treat out of the basket.

New Year's Eve 2016

For New Year's Eve we invited the missionaries over for dinner and games. Monte also invited some friends over. We had a great time! We ate lots of junk food and wings and pizza. After we ate, we played some fun board games. At midnight we watched the ball drop and sipped on some non-alcoholic bubbly. It was another great New Year's Eve with my little family.
