Because I had two babies last summer, I was unable to do any canning. This year I knew that I had to make tomato juice! I don't want to risk running out. I pretty much consider it liquid gold and love my macaroni and tomato juice. I wanted to do 4 bushels of tomatoes, but only ended up accomplishing 2 bushels. Still I was able to get around 50 quarts of tomato juice. Chief was a great helper and helped squish the tomatoes. Making tomato juice is not hard at all. It is just time consuming and makes a huge mess! The hardest part is doing it with the babies all around. I wish my mom were here to help hold babes while I can! As you can see from the pictures below. Your house pretty much goes to pot. Of course while I was canning our little Lady got the box of Rice Krispies and dumped them everywhere. Oh well, the finished product is so worth it.
