This place is truly the best sledding hill I've ever seen for many reasons.
One being it is free to use, the other being that if you get cold you can go sit in the lodge and warm up by the fire. In the lodge there is a huge window that overlooks the entire sledding hill so you can see what is going on below. The best is that there is hardly anyone on the hill! I was so surprised! We are still on winter break and although we went sledding yesterday I brought the children again today. This time G and Goose and a few of their friends joined us. We also met some friends from church there. Once again the snow was perfect, however there was A LOT of wind. The funny thing is the children didn't even seem to mind, it was more of the adults! We got there in the morning and didn't get home until I believe 3:00 or 3:30. Chief was in snow heaven! Him and his friend Taylor from church sledded for a bit and then just hung out at the bottom forever. In fact, they even built an igloo. I hated to leave because the kids were all having a grand ole time, but alas I had to shower and get ready for a meeting that evening. Being outdoors is my favorite and Chief's too. He is so happy when he can be outside in the fresh air. Being outside all day yesterday and today has been good for our spirits despite the wind today!
